Triumph of Special People, Inc. was established in 1998 as a non-profit corporation to provide services for persons with developmental disabilities. Triumph is licensed by the state of Louisiana Health and Hospitals. Our licensure allows us to act as a provider agency for PCA and SIL waiver services. In addition, we have established programs in housing and sponsorships for persons with developmental disabilities.

We believe that all persons we serve should be able to make choices in their lives and have the supports they need to achieve successful outcomes from those choices. At Triumph we strive to make the individual’s dreams a reality by providing well trained and caring employees to work with the consumers to help maximize their potential. We provide person-centered services to ensure that the consumers’ plans reflect their choices.

Our goal is to provide opportunities for persons with developmental disabilities that are consistent with the daily lives of other people in the community. We strongly believe that all persons, regardless of disability, have a right to a full and active life.

Ben Bagert is a prominent Louisiana lawyer who has held uncompensated positions of trust and public service.  He was the first Chairman of the Metropolitan Human Services District which serves the needs of developmentally disabled persons in southeast Louisiana.  He has also serves as an uncompensated consultant to the District.  He also served many years as an elected member of the Louisiana State Legislature.  This public service in the cauldron of Louisiana politics was honorable, scandal free, and he was often honored with awards recognizing his skill and integrity as a lawmaker.  Ben now leads the Bagert Law Firm. www.bagertlaw.com
